The Firm
The Firm ‘Saiful Islam & Co., Chartered Accountants’ has been started by Mr. Md. Saiful Islam FCA taking permission from ICAB with the vision that the Firm will be one of the admiring chartered accountant Firms in Bangladesh.
Mr. Islam served the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) for about 10 years for regulating the chartered accountant profession. With the experience of regulation as well as public practice, Mr. Islam have a dream to establish an ideal professional organization. Presently, the Firm started as sole proprietorship with one Sr. Manager (CA Advance Level), One Manager (CA Professional Level), Six Audit Trainees and a pool of consultants regarding Taxation and Legal Issues. Mr. Islam has the intention to involve more chartered accountants and/or other professionals for maintaining consistency with corporates so that the human resources can be developed professionally. Mr. Islam has hands on experience in doing 1) statutory audit of banks, RMG, national and international NGOs, 2) Special Audit & Concurring Audit of RMG, national and international NGOs 3) share valuation, 4) business valuation, 5) business health check-up etc.
The Firm will emphasize on high standards of professional competence, quality and client satisfaction. In connection with this the Firm has focused on the development of competent manpower by giving opportunity to work with the Firm to the university students. Consequently, these students will have practical based education as well as the practical orientation on implementation of theories.
The Firm has the capacity to provide a wide range of services in accounting, auditing, taxation, VAT, customs, secretarial, management consulting, outsourcing, human resources, legal, labor law issues and business advisory. Besides, the Firm provides services for setting up of a company, branch office and liaison (Representative) office to winding up/closing of company, branch office and liaison office and also to obtaining different permissions from the various regulatory authorities of trade, commerce, commercial and central bank.
CEO & PRINCIPAL
Mr. Md. Saiful Islam FCA is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).
He completed his articledship from a renowned chartered accountant firm in Bangladesh which was the member firm of Baker Tally International.
During his articledship, he was experienced with statutory audit of Banks, National and International NGOs,
Textile and Garments, Real Estate etc.
Mr. Islam played the leading role in implementing Audit Practice Manual of the Institute in the year 2008-2009.
After qualifying as chartered accountant in the year 2010, he served the Institute as head of Regulatory Affairs Division.
Mr. Islam started public practice as chartered accountants on 09 September 2021 with the member firm of Crowe Global in Bangladesh.
Presently, Mr. Islam has started public practice as chartered accountant under the name & style ‘Saiful Islam & Co., Chartered Accountants’
w.e.f. 01 September 2023.

ARTICLEDSHIP
To be a chartered accountant, a person has to take CA Articleship with a chartered accountant firm and undergo
extensive training on the profession of accountants having been attached with a principal who is a member of
the Institute and is permitted to train articled students. After getting admission as an Articled Student,
the person will be registered with the ICAB as a chartered accountant student.
When a student qualifies all the professional exams, he becomes qualified chartered accountant either during
articledship period or after the articledship period.

TRAINEE
We observed that a major portion of our graduate or post-graduate students are not regular in their classes.
Most of these students are passing their student life without having proper guideline about building better
career. They are passing idle time or some of them are engaging themselves with odd job. Ultimately after
the end of graduation/post-graduation, they do not have any idea about the requirement of corporates,
business, professional life etc. and they remain less confident in getting an opportunity of exploring good
career.
Here, Saiful Islam & Co., Chartered Accountants has been working with such students to grow them
professionally. These students will have the opportunity to engage with SIC during graduation or post-graduation as Trainee
where they will have the opportunity to learn about CA Profession(how to deal with CA Profession, how to maintain quality reading, what is the demand of corporates etc.).
How it works
- We do the assessment of student’s ability and we give proper feedback to them for taking necessary initiative;
- We discuss with the students individually and draw a career pathway after mutual discussion;
- We orient students about CA Profession and about the role of a CA;
- We show them how graduation and post-graduation study can help them to pass CA Examinations within shortest possible time as well as to have fruitful articledship training;
- We work for enhancing student’s communication skill, IT skill, presentation skill etc.;
- We allow students on Full-time or Part-time basis so that their regular classes or any other engagement on ad hoc basis cannot be affected;
- We support students to pass CA Certificate Level exam during their graduation/post-graduation;
- We give opportunity to the students to engage with practical professional work to have practical knowledge;
- We issue experience certificate;
- We do not claim any financial benefit from students and presently we do not pay any allowance to them. But we have plan to give allowances subject to satisfactory performance.
Outcome
- Bring back the students from a life of despair;
- Students will qualify CA Certificate Level Exam along with Graduation/Post-graduation; and
- Student will have his own plan with appropriate resources to qualify as Chartered Accountant within shortest possible time;

MANAGEMENT TRAINEE OFFICER (MTO)
The Graduates/Post-graduates who want to gather practical working experience regarding CA Profession may apply for the position Management Trainee Officer (MTO).
The SIC will recruit them as per requirement.
Professional Staff
One who has completed CA CC and may pass or may not pass any level of CA Exam is eligible to apply for any suitable position. The Firm will recruit them as per requirement.
